Here are my TIPS!

I am currently on the way to finish renovating my home so I can put it up for sale. I was lucky enough to find a great handyman, and created a plan to get it renovated, listed and sold it for what I believe I can get.

Below are the steps that I took to get organized starting with a plan and sticking to it. Determining and managing “Risk” comes down to having a plan. If you don’t have a plan you will run out of money, you might end up overspending.


Here are MY Tips to Get Yourself Organized to Do a Renovation 


  1. List everything that need to get done.

  2. Name what you will be doing and what you will have a contractor/handyman taking care of …

  3. Start a pinterest board for your project (pin products that you will buy or ideas that you want to reproduce).

  4. Start an excel sheet and put down the cost, and keep updating it.

  5. Get Started!


PS: I noticed that during the renovation I started wanting to make things look nicer and better than the normal, but in the end you need to stick to my budget, and use common sense (I am not going to live in the house). Buyers will only be able to spend X amount of money, and when it comes to financing a bank will appraise the property and will determine if it is worthy more (so that decision is out of your hands).
